What is Global Mesh?

In its simplest form, it is an open platform and open firmware architecture mesh solution, where any interested party is able to design the similar platform and download the respective of firmware and together with the right Vendor ID & Authorized MAC Address for operation

The Global Mesh Access Point (Mesh AP) operating in Layer-3 mesh routing protocol architecture, and based on OLSR fundamental topology, providing individual mesh subnet cluster, and with global network cluster for mesh link.

Global Mesh “Standard” solution is designed to be plug and play, and with minimum effort in system configuration, where all Global Mesh APs are centrally monitored by Global Mesh Monitoring Suite riding on Google Map (or equivalently MSN Map) worldwide platform.

With Global Mesh AP, user is able to connect to Internet via their neighboring global mesh clusters, with multiple relay hoping for transmitting or receiving networking information.

Hence user equipping with Global Mesh AP is able to utilize Global Mesh connectivity anywhere, anytime within the worldwide global Mesh environment for accessing Internet or via “Global Mesh ISP Partner Program” RADIUS Login authentication

Global Mesh registered member with an Account ID/Password is also gain access to Internet anywhere, anytime under the worldwide Global Mesh coverage deployment area.

Global Mesh Network - Standard Operation

“Standard” Global Mesh AP MAP300/MAP310x come with limited configuration and with fully plug and play operation, where user need to perform initial online registration and thereafter via default configuration for automatic join the global mesh network infrastructure to gain Internet access

MAP300/310 Mesh AP utilizes single WiFi Radio providing three simultaneous modes of operation, namely

  • Mesh Link : Responsible for establishing mesh connection with neighboring Global Mesh AP(s) and participating as a member node of the entire mesh structure.
  • Private AP Link : Providing Private wired/wireless sub-net to the owner of the Global Mesh AP device, where this radio channel is protected by WPA-PSK
  • Public Hotspot AP Link : Providing captive portal control wireless sub-net access to public users.

ISP Registered with ez-board.net for Hotspot Operation

Individual User or Small ISP could also subscript to Global Mesh EzPartner program to kick start their broadband capacity resale business (owned managed Hotspot services), and EzPartner can also utilize Global Mesh EzPortal for providing e-commence services to the Global Mesh Network Community.  The following is the operating scenario.
